    Friendship

Filed under: Relationship — joanne @ 2:19 am

I had a lunch with two of my ex-colleagues. Kim just transferred to another department and is working 12 hour shifts, and Joanna still works with the same department. We chat, we laugh during the lunch hour, and I noticed they care about each other so much!

I still remember when Kim was first promoted, and Joanna had just joined us less than a year before. The conflicts between both of them were obvious, and they always came to me and complained about one another. Even after I left the company a year later, when I lunch with one of them, the complaints still continue.

It has been a while since we have gotten together for lunch or any gathering, but Joanna called me today, so we met.

I was surprised when I saw Kim was there as well, but soon we were chatting and they were telling the recent happenings in the department. Later on, I heard them thanking each other for what they have done for each other. They said that they appreciate the help they get from one another and show their true concern by giving out advice to each other on the job!

I said to them, ” Wow! You two finally learned how to care and become good friends!”

They said they still quarrel and make faces sometimes, but now they know better how to handle each other well, and know when is the time to step in to talk and when it is not.

I think this is what true friend is:we quarrel, we complain, we make faces and so on, until one day, we know we are not enemies after all, we just lack understanding. We just need time to get used to it and we just need to be open, and open our hearts.

    May true friendship keep shining…..
